Why do we have to study English? For this question, somebody may say ”I study English for hunting a better job”, while someone else may say ”I study English for further overseas studying”. Different people have different ideas. But for me, it has a further meaning. People could get a better job in a Chinese company, people can get advanced knowledge via different ways except studying abroad, but people can’t involve in a different culture and touch their deep soul without language merging. Couples of month ago, I participate a party threw by an American couple. We communicated freely, laugh slipping over my ear. I just sat there as a dummy, laugh with them for totally unknown what they were saying. Suddenly I found that without English, I almost lost half of world. After that humiliating party, I made decision to improve my oral English.
Fortunately I got the help from Mars English. Until recently, I am delightedly aware of my rapid progress in oral English. My journey on English starts from intermediate level. It’s really a tough step to cross over. I am an awful listener and speaker. Almost everyday when I am off of work, I came to Mars to join Coffer Time class. It provides me a excellent English speaking place. Therefore, everyday I could communicate with different foreigner teachers and some students who are eager as well on well-chosen topics. Moreover, we still got chance to see some American film and take part in some well-organized party with our foreigner teachers. All of these largely help me successfully go over the first step. This part of journey lasted three months I called “Growing up”.
The second part I called “Breaking”. The previous step I focused on vocabulary enrichment and grammar accuracy. This step I concentrated my mind on fluency. I tried my best to speak as fast as possible, as fluent as possible, as accurate as possible. Whenever I found some mistake, I corrected them for the first time and took them on my note. Never let the same mistake happen more than two times is my slogan. Another three months passed, I eventually went over this bridge.
The third step I called “Accomplishment”. It’s the most tough chain for me. In this part, my goal is to speak English like speaking mother language. But idiomaticity could be much difficult to reach simply studying in China. In this part, I will focus on listening. To catch every idiomatic saying as much as possible. It is a undoubtedly long-term studying. Although I haven’t finished my journey, I will keep moving on, never give up until success.
